Today was the first day of recuperation tests and the kids were kinda crazy today. It didn’t help that lots of my kids had to make things up or take things early. It worked out the best to do recups during the last part of day (seatwork) so the person who does my seatwork could watch my kids and I could be with the ones who needed to take the tests. But earlier in the day during Reading it was a little more hectic because it was like I was running 2 classrooms at once. The office also sprung progress reports on us which didn’t make sense since our grades for the previous quarter were due on Tuesday and we had recuperation tests on Friday as well. But we just had to put the most current quiz or test, so it wasn’t as much work as it normally may be. During tutorias, my kids took the spelling recup while the others made flashcards or did Mad Libs. I never realized how language based Mad Libs are and since we just learned about adverbs and adjectives, it was good practice. After tutorias, I stayed after longer to grade things, but still had stuff to do at home for tomorrow. When I got home, Jacki and Sarah told me that Sonia had invited us for baleadas at comedor for free! What a blessing to not have to cook after a long day; it was so sweet of them and the baleadas really hit the spot!
